The recently formed Lucas Electrical licensee group has
underlined its commitment to the seamless continuity of its Lucas branded Rotating Electrics programme with the appointment of amk Automotive Components as its UK aftermarket distribution partner. amk will distribute the Lucas range of OE quality Starters and Alternators on behalf of Lucas Electrical’s Rotating Machines licensee, Denmark-based Elstock.
The OE quality Lucas Rotating Machines range is the aftermarket’s number one brand, and provides 98% coverage of the UK vehicle parc for car and light commercial vehicles – with additional coverage for key heavy goods vehicles, agricultural and off-road applications. Not only is Lucas Electrical ensuring complete continuity and quality of the Lucas rotating machine ranges, but plans are also in place to add additional references and maintain the strong stockist and marketing support for which the historic brand is known.
“The appointment of amk is excellent news for the Lucas Rotating Electrics programme,” says Jim McCaughey, Lucas Electrical Marketing Manager. “It will ensure we continue to combine our first-to-market programmes with a highly responsive service nationwide, which is good news for factors and their customers.”
Ken Freeman, Sales & Marketing Director of amk added, “We are delighted to have been appointed national distributor for Lucas Rotating Electrics. Our nationwide distribution network and strong industry experience will ensure Lucas customers will carry on receiving a first class support package in terms of range, availability and service.”
A new industry-leading, fully illustrated Lucas Rotating Machines catalogue is planned for 2005 packed with technical information, ‘Warranty Warning’ trouble-shooting guidance and useful hints for both factors and installers.
